World peace was not supposed to look like this. It was supposed to be more - well, more peaceful.^[1] World peace, we are all for it - but how can the nations of the world achieve it? Many people are passionate in their answers to this.^[2] World Peace Herald seeks to provide readers with access to news and views not often found in the traditional media, with a particular focus on issues that relate to building world peace. The view is global, and recognizes the interdependence of the world's nations.^[3]

Generals could not learn to use airborne troops as they learn to employ other forces, by studying the campaigns of Napoleon, Grant, and other military geniuses. And armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.^[26] Wars are also known to cause immense inflationary pressures, as governments are required to borrow large sums of money to finance them, and often resort to printing more currency , causing the value of the currency to drop. The short-run frictional costs of inflation could also theoretically be avoided in a "world peace" scenario.^[27] War and nationalism, together with economic exploitation, have been the great enemies of the individual human being. I believe that, with war abolished from the world, there will be improvement in the social, political, and economic systems in all nations, to the benefit of the whole of humanity.^[28]
